Hospital facilities
This college's hospital is renowned for its superior holistic healthcare, high-quality instruction, and research. 25 contemporary surgical facilities are covered by the full services offered by AIMC infrastructure. based on a study of 600 outpatients who were not receiving medical care. The hospital features a 24-hour blood bank and an ambulance service. The equipment of Amala Casualty Hospital is excellent. These theatres also have qualified physicians. The Amala hospital has 300 beds in total. There are 24 beds in the inpatient care ward, 60 beds in the paediatric ward, and 12 beds in the coronary care ward. The general ward had 120 beds. The hospital information system is completely networked and automated. Eight beds are available for pre-anaesthesia/pre-operative patients, and eight more are available in the post-operative recovery areas.

Admission Eligibility
By December 31 of the entrance year, applicants to this college must be 17 years old. Students must have at least a 50 per cent grade in science, including physics, chemistry, biology, or biotechnology (for SC/ST students, a 40 per cent grade in board exams, and a 45 per cent grade for OBC students). Additionally, the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEEE) is required of all students (NEET).

The Amala Institute of Medical Sciences is situated in Thrissur, Kerala. The city of Thrissur has excellent access to other areas of Kerala and India via various types of transportation. On the NH69 Thrissur-Kunnamkulam highway, 7.7 kilometres from Thrissur, the Medical College is situated at Amalanagar. Local transportation is available twenty-four hours a day there.
The city has successfully developed its vast network of roadways and trains throughout India as a consequence. The campus is located 9 kilometres from Thrissur Railway Station, one of Kerala's major rail junctions. The distance from the university to the main bus terminal, which is 8 kilometres, is around 30 minutes by foot.
